I'm Aayush Lal Roy — a software engineer, but that's only the first line of the story. My real defining trait is that I'm a generalist: I get obsessed with a domain I know nothing about, use AI to learn it fast, and then actually build something that works.
Professionally, I live in backend systems — identity, authorization and access-control microservices at Walmart Global Tech, and before that across health-tech at Practo. I care about contract-first APIs, test-coverage discipline, and reading the evidence before I touch the code.
Away from the keyboard, I travel to collect stories, shoot photographs of the light I find along the way, get lost in astrophysics, and tinker with bringing technology into agriculture. The threads all connect: it's the same curiosity, pointed in different directions.
